Assessment 2-Interviewing (Primary Research)

For this task I had to interview members of staff and ask them questions about ‘goffs glossy magazine’. I think that I interviewed enough teachers which is good because I had a variety of answers so that it would be easy to see what most of them thought.Those questions were:
1. What is the most important thing that is happening in school that should be included in our magazine.
2. What would be your reason for this?
3. Why do you think this would be good to put in the magazine?
4. Who does your issue involve?
5. Do you have any other suggestions?When getting this information I went around with a partner and my partner asked the members of staff the questions and I wrote their answers down. After I had gathered enough information together I pull all my information onto an excel spreadsheet. I put the questions at the top of my excel spreadsheet and underneath wrote down what they had said.

Assessment 1-Questionnaire (Secondary Research)

For this task Mr Raymond gave us all a questionnaire which had different questions on them some were quantitative questions, where there are possible answers on the questionnaire and you tick which one is relevant to you and the other ones were qualitative which is where you have a questions and underneath a box to write your answer into it.

Mr Raymond gave everybody in the class one of these questionnaires to fill in. Once we had filled them in he made copies of everyone’s questionnaires and we used them to fill in our data.

I recorded all my data onto an excel spreadsheet. I put in all the questions that had been asked and the possible answers and I showed the answers by using ‘y’ to say that they had chosen that answer.
For the qualitative questions I wrote their answers into the boxes.

I then used that information to find out the answers to the five questions by using data sort. I found it quite difficult to count up the qualitative answers as they were mostly different whereas it was much easier to count up the quantitative answers.

-The radio station that people listen to and their favourite DJ.
-The number of times people visit the cinema and what film they saw last.
-How many people have satellite television and how many hours they watch in an average week.
-Which social networking site people use and how many contacts they have on it.
