Unit 7C Print Production-Task 8, Old magazine
When constructing my magazine on photoshop I adapted my two designs a bit as when I was doing it I thought that a banner across the masthead would be a good idea as it is a good way to advertise something, making the magazine more sellable. I have used the colour blue for the banner as it contrasts with the black writing for the masthead and also goes with the pink I have used for the sub headings of the cover lines.
Also instead of have the pug either on the top right or left of my magazine I put it on the bottom left hand corner as I believe it makes the magazine look more professional and also as I put the cover lines there I had to move it somewhere else. I then added the price to the pug so that people can see clearly before purchasing the magazine what the price is.

This shows the titles of magazines that are at the top middle and bottom of the rank in the market. I think the reasons for these magazines being where they are in the order is because of the design and the way they look and also who they are targeted at. Also I think it depends on whether the magazine is a weekly magazine as if so they will be buying them more.
For example Tv Choice is at the top of the market. I think this is because it is targeted at a large range of different people as many people watch Tv and soaps so they want to be able to read about what is going to happen and it is also a weekly magazine so people are always able to get it.
